If you’ve ever been on a Carnival Cruise, you know this one. It is super important that you follow directions and then be careful when you’re baking it. Check it often and I use the toaster oven so I can do it without opening the door. When the top of it starts to look like “cake” take it out quickly. There is a fine line between being cake and mush. If you get it right, though, it’s heaven.
Ingredients
2 Eggs
1/2 Stick of butter
1/8 cup of sugar
1/8 cup of flour
2 1/2 squares (2.5 oz) Semi sweet baking chocolate
2.5 squares of semi sweet chocolate (2.5oz)
1/2 stick of butter
Microwave in a bowl on 50% power to melt, stir and let stand 10 mins to cool
In a separate bowl, whisk 1 egg and 1/8 cup (2T) of sugar
Add 1/8 cup of All Purpose flour to the egg mixture and whisk
Add 1 egg to the egg mixture and whisk
Combine the two bowls and whisk.
Pour into two 4oz ramekins and bake at 375 for approx 15 mins. Watch very closely. At 13-17 mins they will begin to puff up Take out of the oven just as they puff up and serve with vanilla ice cream.
